Technology veteran to lead operations at Catalyst

INDIANAPOLIS — Catalyst USA has named Robert Keck its new chief operating officer. The executive and entrepreneur brings a wealth of leadership experience in technology firms.

Keck, who began his career as a principle of a subcontracting firm, joins Catalyst just as its product line has grown to include sales and support for Bentley design software and cost management tools from Hard Dollar. The company also continues its long-standing relationship with Oracle as a Platinum Partner for Primavera project management software.

Catalyst President and CEO Steve Sudler says Keck is a perfect match as the company evolves to meet new demand.

“We’ve always been a great fit for construction firms and government divisions for construction but now, with the addition of world class BIM tools, we’re able to also help architecture and engineering firms,” said Sudler. “Bob will help ensure that all of our clients get the same high level of service that we’ve become known for.”

Keck will take over daily operations from Sudler who remains active in client relations and responsible for developing the firm’s strategic direction.

“Steve’s vision to round out the Catalyst offering to the AEC industry is already there,” said Keck. “My job is to tap into that and to bring a culture of execution to the business so we consistently deliver value to our clients.”

Keck has been talking with clients in recent weeks and says they appreciate that Catalyst can help throughout the complete project lifecycle — from software purchase to implementation to support.

“Now, while the economy is recovering, many of these forward thinking companies are also looking to us to create more efficiencies in their systems,” said Keck.

From his time in the industry, Keck understands the opportunities and challenges that now lie ahead for those in construction and industrial industries. He also sees that Catalyst is poised for significant growth if they can help firms adjust to the new economic realities.

“When we make our clients more efficient by delivering better enterprise systems and processes, they’ll have more chances for new business and then we’ll be available for consulting support,” he explained. “Our job is simple — help them become more profitable. If we continue to do that, growth will come.”
