Meridian veteran takes over general manager position
FOLSOM, CALIF. — Meridian Systems has announced the appointment of Geene Alhady to the position of general manager. Alhady has been with Meridian for more than a decade and has strong domain experience in the construction project management industry.
Alhady, former vice president of sales, will replace Meridian co-founder, John Bodrozic, who is leaving Meridian at the end of 2010 to begin a general business consulting company.
“I would like to acknowledge John for his leadership role in helping to pioneer and influence the construction project management software industry and his successful career at Meridian, where he was instrumental in building a strong foundation for the company over the last decade,” said Alhady. “I have enjoyed collaborating with John as part of the management team and look forward to executing the long-term strategies and vision that has made us successful, including building out our global partner network and pursuing a new international expansion strategy.”
Since its acquisition by Trimble in 2006, Meridian has established a two-product strategy with its Prolog solution serving the mid-market, and Proliance solution serving the enterprise market.
Both product lines leverage Meridian’s early investment in Web services technology to deliver robust business software on open technology platforms. Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) firms, as well as public and private building owners rely on Meridian solutions to efficiently manage construction projects and capital building programs.
“After a wonderful and rewarding professional life at Meridian Systems, the time was right to move on and pursue new career endeavors,” said John Bodrozic, Meridian co-founder. “Meridian has achieved much success to date and is well positioned to take advantage of future opportunities with the strong management team in place.”
