Froehling & Robertson deploys mobile application for streamlining construction materials testing
RICHMOND, VA. — Froehling & Robertson Inc. (F&R), Richmond, Va., is currently in the implementation phase of deploying Agile Frameworks LLC’s MetaField field information management system. F&R was founded in 1881 and is the oldest independent consulting and testing firm in the United States. Each year, the company provides geotechnical, materials testing, and environmental engineering services for thousands of projects across dozens of industries.
Ken Dalton, chief technology officer at F&R, stated, "We have been researching the software market for quite some time to find the right solution, until now it simply did not exist. We are very excited about the benefits this product will bring to our operations. We expect to dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes to perform a field test, put the test results through quality control, send reports to our customers, and issue invoices; all the while increasing accuracy at each stage of the testing/reporting life cycle. Having seen the product in use and knowing it's a proven solution we are confident that the team at Agile Frameworks can deliver."
MetaField is designed for engineering firms and their field technicians specializing in geotechnical, environmental, non-destructive engineering, and construction materials testing to perform onsite data collection. Soil density and concrete field testing represent examples of tests that are supported by MetaField. MetaField's mobile functionality addresses the remote nature of the business and the entire field data collection process in a more accurate, accelerated way via smart phones.
