Buric launches Buric Global for intelligent construction management
CLEVELAND — Declaring it time that the construction industry join the information age, Buric launched Buric Global, an integrated and new data-rich system that it said delivers projects on time, on budget, and without litigation.
Beyond mere data, Buric Global brings true intelligence to the construction process — eliminating delays, cost overruns and claims caused by poor planning, re-work and waste. By doing away with mistakes and unnecessary change orders, Buric Global can reduce an owner’s costs by 20 percent, according to the company.
“Thanks to technology, owners and project managers can have access to the construction industry equivalent of a real-time global positioning system. Yet our industry continues to give them crumpled and outdated paper maps and then act surprised when they get lost along the way,” said William R. Zollinger III, P.E., president and CEO. “With Buric Global, we provide both the real-time data and the intelligence needed to eradicate construction-related problems virtually, before they occur in the field.”
Poor productivity within the construction industry isn’t some abstract dilemma. The $550 billion construction industry accounts for nearly 5 percent of the country’s gross national product — yet 72 percent of projects run over budget, 70 percent finish late, and up to 40 percent of an owner’s bottom-line project costs pays for material waste and re-work.
“When you consider the difficult economic climate that exists worldwide, what other industry would tolerate that kind of poor performance?” Zollinger asked. “Buric Global gives owners and project managers the information and intelligence they need to make smart, timely decisions that serve their financial interests.”
Buric has successfully deployed Buric Global on more than $1.4 billion worth of projects for internationally renowned clients. Along with other services, Buric Global includes data- and analyses-rich project schedules that track resources and flag critical issues or trends; electronic dashboard reporting that provides contemporaneous analytics, trending and project information at a glance; and in-field performance evaluation and analytics in 3D and 4D BIM and digital imaging recording.
