» Value of projects using Green Wizard approaches $9 billion   Green Wizard

GreenWizard – a cloud-based product management and project collaboration solution that simplifies green building administration, planning and certification –has announced that contractors and architects who use GreenWizard have added $800 million in construction project value in just the last four weeks.  The total project value within GreenWizard today is $8.75 billion.


» CSC becomes an Autodesk Industry Business Partner   CSC

CSC, a structural engineering software developer recently announced the formation of a new industry strategic business relationship with Autodesk, Inc.’s Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) division to further promote the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) within the global structural engineering community. As part of the new relationship, the parties have entered into an agreement whereby CSC and Autodesk will provide customers with more closely integrated solutions that support a more efficient structural engineering workflow for BIM.

IMAGINiT Technologies, a division of Rand Worldwide, has released IMAGINiT Clarity, a web-based solution that allows project team members and external partners to share one centrally located BIM model securely from multiple locations. Clarity was designed for use with the Autodesk Revit BIM platform.


» BIM manual for cast-in-place concrete receives industry support   American Concrete Institute

A working group of the American Concrete Institute’s (ACI) Committee 131 on Building Information Modeling (BIM) is developing an Information Delivery Manual (IDM) for cast-in-place concrete. The IDM will capture in written form the  interaction that occurs in the design and construction of concrete structures by identifying the parties involved in information exchange, what information is exchanged and when, based on a typical construction project timeline.

» New viewer for geospatial situational awareness released   Luciad

Luciad, a manufacturer of visualization for Geospatial Situational Awareness applications has released FAA AIXM 5 Viewer. The AIXM 5 Viewer, an application developed by Luciad for the Federal Aviation Administration, is a free viewer that is open to all stakeholders. Access to the AIXM Viewer is available from the AIXM Forum for members. AIXM Forum membership is free and open to all who use the software.
